If you are going to use a clamp or three then figure out where they go fist, you may need to cut some shims, get creative. Many cracks can simply be wrapped with surgical tubing. What is nit shown here is before you mix you must also practice how to clamp it closed. Then mask, then mix and put into crack, work it in. Practice before masking and mixing the epoxy until you figure out how that crack needs to be forced open. I pry open the crack to work the epoxy into it. Mask the stock (and wear latex gloves) so you can use a toothpicc or craft stick to works the glass into the crack, this will make a bit of a mess so spend 2 minutes masking so you don't need to worry about getting it on your hands and then all over the stock. This will allow the mixed epoxy to flow better. Some will heat the stock (place near the hot air vent) and similarly heat the unmixed epoxy-acraglass (again, place on the hot air vent, no need for a torch or microwave). While epoxy-resins create hear (not enough to require any precautions) you will note that they are very thick and temperature-sensitive.
